“Humanforce Work” is a deskless workforce management application tailored for industries such as childcare, age care, events, entertainment, and retail, where casual employment is prevalent. The mobile app primarily caters to casual employees while also offering functionality for managers. Users can effortlessly manage their shifts, set availability, check leave balances, and access other essential features. Upon joining Humanforce, my primary objective was to overhaul the legacy app for both Android and iOS platforms to achieve feature parity swiftly. Initial UX groundwork had been laid by an external agency prior to my involvement. Once feature parity was attained, our focus shifted to developing the “Manager Module,” primarily designed for desktop use due to its extensive feature set, making it impractical for mobile deployment.
Strategy
This involved pinpointing the features crucial for managers operating primarily on mobile devices without constant PC access. Additionally, we meticulously identified the specific managerial roles and industries within our clientele to tailor the module accordingly. This meticulous process proved invaluable for subsequent surveys and research endeavours, providing essential insights to inform our development and refinement efforts effectively.
